Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Info@BTheSpace.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

BTheSpace  Interiors is an interior design company that specializes in creating unique and personalized spaces for our clients.

BTheSpace Interiors provides residential interior design, renovation design and project support, furnishing and decorating services, space planning, home staging, and virtual design. Our renovation services can include kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, finish selections, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, paint, and other architectural and decorative elements.

Our approach is focused on creating cohesive, functional spaces while also considering how the design will actually be constructed and implemented.

BTheSpace Interiors serves clients throughout the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), including Augusta, Evans, Martinez, and surrounding areas in Georgia, as well as Aiken and surrounding areas in South Carolina.

Virtual design services are also available for clients outside our local service area.

We offer international design services for a premium

Yes. Renovation design is a core service offered by BTheSpace Interiors.

We assist homeowners with design development, space planning, material and finish selections, cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint, and other elements required to create a cohesive renovation.

Depending on the scope of the project, we can also provide project support and coordination during construction to help ensure the approved design is properly implemented.

Ideally, an interior designer should be involved before construction or demolition begins.

Many important decisions—including layouts, cabinetry, plumbing locations, lighting, electrical requirements, tile layouts, fixtures, and finishes—can affect construction. Making these decisions early allows the contractor to price and schedule the work more accurately and reduces last-minute decisions, delays, and potentially costly changes during construction.

An interior designer plans and designs functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, considering layout, color, furniture, lighting, and décor to match your lifestyle and taste.

The interior designer is responsible for developing the design vision, functionality, specifications, materials, finishes, and overall cohesion of the space.

The contractor is responsible for determining construction methods, providing construction labor, managing trades, and executing the work according to the approved design and applicable construction requirements.

The best results occur when the designer and contractor work collaboratively while maintaining clearly defined responsibilities.

Yes. We can work with your existing contractor provided they are appropriately qualified for the project and willing to collaborate with the design process.

Clear communication between the homeowner, designer, contractor, and trades is essential to keeping a renovation organized and ensuring that design decisions are properly implemented.

Depending on the project, BTheSpace Interiors can provide client representation and project support during construction.

This may include site visits, contractor communication, clarification of design specifications, review of installation details, coordination of selections, tracking changes, and helping resolve design-related issues that arise during construction.

The exact level of involvement is established in the project's scope of services.

Interior design fees vary considerably depending on the size, complexity, scope, and level of involvement required.

A furnishing consultation, single-room design, kitchen renovation, whole-home renovation, and full-service design project require very different levels of work.

After learning about your project, BTheSpace Interiors will recommend the appropriate service and provide pricing based on the anticipated scope.

You can call us, email us, text us or send us an inquiry via our website and we will contact you for an informal chat where we will discuss how to best serve you.

Yes. On-site consultations are a professional service and are billed accordingly.

A consultation may include reviewing the space, discussing objectives and potential solutions, evaluating existing conditions, taking preliminary measurements when appropriate, and providing professional design recommendations.

The consultation fee compensates the designer for the time and professional expertise provided during the appointment, regardless of whether additional services are subsequently commissioned.

No. Measurements taken during an initial consultation are generally considered preliminary measurements for planning and estimating purposes.

Products requiring precise fabrication or installation—including custom cabinetry, countertops, window treatments, glass, and other made-to-measure products—should always receive final field verification by the responsible fabricator or installer before production.

For furnishing and decorating projects, design-only services may be available depending on the scope.

Projects involving construction or renovation generally benefit from continued designer involvement during implementation. Construction frequently generates questions, field conditions, substitutions, and installation decisions that can affect the finished design.

The appropriate service structure will be discussed before the project begins.

Home staging is the process of preparing a home for sale by arranging furniture and décor to appeal to potential buyers.

Staging helps highlight a home’s best features, makes spaces look larger and more inviting, and often leads to faster sales and higher offers.

Yes, staging typically offers a strong return on investment by increasing the perceived value of the home. On average staged homes sell 30 days faster and at a higher price than non staged homes.

Both. For occupied homes, we work with your existing furniture. For vacant homes, we provide rental furniture and décor.

Most staging projects can be completed in 1–2 days, depending on the size and condition of the property.

Yes, in order for us to efficiently stage a home, we require 3 days notice. For larger homes (over 3500 sqft.) or luxury staging requests we ask for 1 week notice.

Our initial minimum contract term is 30 days. You can request extensions month by month

Our minimum staging contract is 30 days. The full contract amount is due upfront and remains non-refundable, even if the property sells before the 30-day term ends.

For real estate professionals—such as brokers, agents, and investors—we offer preferred pricing once a certain volume of projects is reached. Please contact us to learn more about our loyalty and volume-based discount programs.

Interior design involves space planning and structural layout, while decorating focuses on furnishing and accessorizing a space. Interior Designers hold a degree in Interior Design. Interior Decorators are not required to hold formal training. Interior Designer train like Architects and use architectural software like Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp.

Not necessarily. At BTheSpace Interiors we work with a range of budgets and help you make the most of what you have. Our smallest package starts from $400

Clear and consistent communication is an important part of our process. During active projects, we provide updates as meaningful progress occurs, including information regarding selections, orders, deliveries, scheduling, contractor coordination, and other project milestones.

For renovation and implementation projects, a weekly project update may also be provided to summarize progress, upcoming activities, outstanding decisions, and any items requiring client attention.

Emails, texts, and non-urgent questions are typically answered within 1–2 business days during business hours. Messages received outside business hours, on weekends, or on holidays will be addressed during the next business period.

Because we are frequently in client meetings, on job sites, sourcing, or coordinating with vendors and trades, immediate responses should not be expected unless the matter is genuinely time-sensitive and affects active work on site.

We also ask that non-urgent questions be consolidated whenever possible. This allows us to provide more complete answers, maintain accurate project records, and spend project time moving the work forward rather than managing fragmented communication.

Our goal is not constant communication, but timely, organized, and useful communication that keeps your project progressing efficiently.
