The renovation focused on reconfiguring the kitchen's access point and optimizing the layout. Relocating key elements allowed for the addition of a full-height pantry while creating a more efficient and intuitive workflow.

The new layout begins to take shape with the installation of the custom floor-to-ceiling pantry and base cabinetry. By integrating dedicated pantry storage into the design, the kitchen gains both functionality and a stronger architectural presence.

The Challenge
The original double-height living room lacked the architectural framework needed to define its scale, leaving the space without hierarchy or a meaningful focal point.
The Challenge
The TV wall lacked architectural presence and failed to establish a meaningful focal point. While functional, the existing media unit was underscaled for the room's proportions, leaving the expansive wall visually disconnected from the overall design.
The Solution
To establish human scale, we introduced a full-height architectural feature wall that anchors the room and creates a defined focal point. Marble panels framed by warm acoustic wood slats add depth and material contrast, while integrated vertical LED lighting provides a soft ambient glow. FIREPLACE REMODEL
Existing Conditions
The original fireplace lacked the scale and architectural presence needed for the soaring wall and sloped ceiling. The room had no defined focal point, and the fireplace felt disconnected from the farmhouse character of the home.
Design in Progress
The transformation focused on creating visual balance while respecting the project's budget. Painted pine millwork was selected to introduce architectural character economically, while the new composition established the proportions needed to anchor the space.
Built Reality
The completed fireplace now serves as the room's architectural centerpiece. Whitewashed brick, a marble tile surround with a finished edge profile, and a stained floating mantel combine contemporary detailing with subtle rustic warmth, creating a focal point that complements the home's farmhouse aesthetic.
Designed with Purpose
Every design decision balanced aesthetics, proportion, and budget. Full-height painted millwork finished in Sherwin-Williams Intellectual Gray, paired with natural wood accents and carefully detailed materials, transformed an underscaled fireplace into a feature that defines the room while remaining cost-conscious.
